PETER DEMIN played Matthew in the 1977 HTV sci-fi drama 'Children of the Stones'. His performance was quite memorable, but he is only known to have appeared in two other productions.



His first role came in the 1976 'Centre Play for Christmas: William Wilson', and in 1983 he played the lead in 'The Adventures of Young Robin Hood'.

Peter Demin real name was peter clements, Peter Demin was he stage name. Peter also appeared in stage shows babes in the woods at eastbourne, carry on london the victoria palace with sid james and the carry on crew, and Pip in the stage version of  great expectations touring in canada with john mills in 1976. Other TV appearences were the voygages of charles darwin playing cabin boy musters. (BBC Drama 1976/7) Tommy cooper show, just william, the good life, and a bad boy in a CFF film called Chimp Mates.

Had a huge crush on Peter in the 70s. Recently found a website with all old 70s/80s tv progs on and this led me to do a search to see if he was still acting. Would love to know if he's still cute - some child stars don't age well!

I had a mad crush on him too and would love to know what he looks like now. COTS started me off on stone circles and i still visit Avebury every year. Have you checked out the children of the stones webpage?

I noticed your name on this post is Peter Demin. Are you Peter, himself? If so, many people have been looking for you ... mostly just to know where you ended up! I would like to see more information posted on Peter's IMDB.com page, including a birth date / place, picture, etc. Even if it's just a bit more than is there now, it'd help with this ongoing mystery. I just hope Matthew Brake didn't go the way of the Great Bear ...

The Lodge Avebury is a Bed and Breakfast nowadays and fans of Children of The Stones can now book a nights accommodation in the Doctors house! Rooms overlook the Avebury Stones and many locations used in the 7 episodes may be viewed fromt he bedroom windows.
